Pagewood Farm Needle Felting Kits
At Pagewood Farm we are constantly looking for creative ways of using our yarns and fibers. With the help of a nationally recognized knitwear designer, we developed our silk and felted merino needle felting kits that utilize the unique and beautiful Pagewood colorways to create a stunningly fashion and home accessories. And it’s great fun!
How to use the kit
It’s very simple to do. Remove scarf, pillow or cape form and Tinkerbell fluff from the package. Place a section of the form to be felted flat on a foam or brush pad. Place a pinch of Tinkerbell fluff on the form. Repeatedly push needle through the Tinkerbell fluff and into the scarf form until the Tinkerbell fluff is securely attached. More is better. The more times that you push the needle through the fiber, the more it will felt and the more securely it will be attached. You can’t needle felt it too much. Repeat until form is decorated with Tinkerbell fluff to your satisfaction. If desired a more finished look moisten decorated scarf and lightly iron (Do not iron directly. Cover scarf with cloth.

About Needle Felting
Needle Felting is a fiber art process used to “felt” without water. By using a special barbed needle the felter pushes a top layer of fiber into the deeper layers. The same physical characteristics that allow fiber to be spun make the fibers felt. When needle felting always remember that the more times you push the barbed needle through the fibers, the more felted it will be and the more securely the fibers will attach.
There are many needle felting tools on the market. We recommend (and offer at wholesale prices) the Clover Felting Needle Tool and the Clover Needle Felting Mat. The Clover Felting Needle Tool has multiple needles and is spring loaded for easier use. The brush-like mat enables smooth punching with little resistance, and allows the fibers to meshed with the base fabric.
